Characteristics of the department

Within the study programme Economics and Management, Department of Languages provides teaching of foreign languages for the courses of Finance and Management and Travel/Tourism.. The focus of its activities lies above all in professionally oriented teaching of foreign languages for the mentioned courses. The department provides the teaching of English, German, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish. It further offers to students conversation seminars in chosen languages.
In cooperation with chosen compartments of the college, the department participates in the preparation and organisation of professional lectures in foreign languages, keeping and developing contacts with schools and institutions abroad and executing language examinations of tourist guides for the public. The department also performs translating and interpreting activities for the needs of the school. Its important partner is the foreign language department of the college study room and the foreign language library, where there are materials and teaching programs available to both students and college workers to deepen their knowledge of both general and professional language.
